Vicor Expands the Family of Mid-Power 24 Vin Mini Modules

Vicor Corporation announces the addition of nine mid-power Mini DC-DC converters to the 24 Vdc input family: 100 W model at 3.3 Vout 150 W models at 5, 12, 15, 24, 28, 36, and 48 Vout 200 W model at a new standard 36 V output The modules incorporate Vicor’s patented low-noise Zero-Current and Zero-Voltage Switching (ZCS/ZVS which greatly reduces the design effort and filtering costs required to meet agency conducted emissions requirements. The converters operate from 24 V nominal input, with an input range of 18 V to 36 V. Efficiencies range up to 89% for the higher output voltages. These models are available in five different environmental grades, with six different pin options and three baseplate options. The modules, which are optionally available in RoHS compliant models, are a compact 57.9 x 55.9 x 12.7 mm in size with a height above board of 10.9 mm. Applications for the modules include industrial or process control, distributed power, medical, ATE, communications, defense, and aerospace.
